I couldn't find a case for the XR18 that would do the things I needed, so it was necessary to make one.
Construction was fairly straight-forward. I used some dressed pine planks in 285 x 19mm and 140 x 19mm.
- butt joints glued and screwed;
- corners were routed with a 10mm radius;
- inside sprayed with matt black;
- covered in Tolex;
- corners finished in plastic corner protectors;
- handle placed on the side to make it easy to carry;
