Circus Monkey hub, Marwi Ti spokes and Velocity Aeroheat 24" rim Front Wheel

16 spoke lacing pattern

Built using the paired spoke lacing approach which enables a 16 spoke count configuration using 32 hole hubs and rims. Final weight a very respectable 595g. The Velocity Aeroheat rims are relatively heavy, so using them to build a lightweight wheel is difficult. This one's for a kids MTB with a sub 40kg rider, so the reduced spoke count and Marwi titanium spokes shouldn't pose a problem.

Quick facts:

  • 16 Marwi Ti spokes, laced in pairs;
  • 1x lacing (but spoke length calculated using 1.25x), DS spokes 234mm, NDS spokes 228mm;
  • DT Swiss alu nipples;
